Dear Sycamore Families,

Welcome back to another exciting school year at Sycamore! I hope you all enjoyed a restful and enjoyable summer break. As we gear up for the new academic year, I wanted to extend a heartfelt welcome and share some important updates to ensure a smooth start.

Our dedicated team of teachers and staff have been working hard to prepare for the upcoming year.  We are thrilled to see our students return. We have many exciting plans and activities lined up to make this year both educational and enjoyable. 

Here are a few key updates and reminders as we begin the school year:

  1. School Start Date: Our first day of school is September 3rd!  For more information, please visit the school website, click on “About Us,” then scroll through Sycamore’s “Important Back to School Forms.”

  2. Back to School Night: We will be hosting a Back to School Night on September 24th. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to meet your child’s teacher, learn about the curriculum, and ask any questions you may have.

  3. School Supplies: A list of recommended school supplies is available on our website.  

  4. Communication: Staying connected is key to a successful school year. Be sure to sign up for Parent Square.  Instructions are posted on the district website.

  5. Parent-Teacher Association (PTA): We encourage you to get involved with our PTA. It’s a great way to meet other parents, support school activities, and contribute to our school community. Our first PTA meeting will be held on September 24th.

  6. New to Sycamore: All new students grades 1-5, are invited to the ‘New Student Walk Through’ on September 2nd to tour the school and ask questions.  If you are interested, please call the main office for more information.

We are excited to welcome both returning and new families as we begin another wonderful school year. Together, we look forward to making this year a memorable, rewarding, and successful experience for every student.
